Location: El Segundo CA

Job Summary:

The Director of Brand Content will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive U.S. content strategy, ensuring consistent brand messaging and integration across all B2B and B2C channels. This strategic and creative leadership role requires collaboration with global marketing teams to adapt and localize content for the U.S. market, while also producing original content tailored to domestic marketing needs and go-to-market plans. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in the luxury beauty or skincare industry, excels in content production and team management, and is passionate about leveraging emerging technologies, including generative AI, to drive innovation and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

U.S. Content Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and execute a robust content strategy tailored to the U.S. market that aligns with global brand direction and meets business objectives.
  • Collaborate with global marketing partners to adapt existing content and create original materials for U.S.-specific campaigns and initiatives.

Content Creation & Management:

  • Oversee the production and management of a wide range of content formats including video, photography, social media, website copy, educational assets, sales collateral, and influencer-generated content.
  • Ensure content is tailored for various U.S. consumer and professional touchpoints.

Brand Storytelling & Messaging:

  • Adapt global narratives and messaging to resonate with U.S. audiences while maintaining alignment with the overarching brand voice.
  • Ensure messaging consistency across all U.S. channels and platforms.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with U.S.-based senior leadership, marketing, and cross-functional teams to align content strategy with broader business plans.
  • Maintain a content calendar and ensure integrated, strategic execution across functions.

Go-to-Market Content Activation:

  • Lead content initiatives for product launches and major marketing campaigns in the U.S.
  • Collaborate with departments such as influencer marketing, e-commerce, and global counterparts to optimize content activation and performance.

Global Collaboration:

  • Coordinate closely with global marketing to ensure strategic alignment and efficient adaptation of global content.
  • Share best practices and leverage global resources while customizing them for the U.S. market.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the U.S. content team to deliver high-quality work in a collaborative, results-oriented environment.
  • Provide coaching, support, and development opportunities.

Budget & Vendor Management:

  • Manage the content production budget for the U.S. market, ensuring effective use of resources and maximizing ROI.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and manage external creative partners to support content needs.

Innovation & Industry Best Practices:

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends, editing techniques, and content technologies relevant to the U.S. market.
  • Drive innovation through the use of generative AI tools and digital efficiencies in content creation.

Performance Analysis:

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators to evaluate content effectiveness in the U.S. market.
  • Use insights to inform strategy adjustments and improve campaign outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in content production, brand management, and/or social media/influencer strategy—preferably in the beauty, skincare, or luxury goods industries.
  • Demonstrated success in creating content strategies for both B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Strong understanding of luxury brand positioning, digital content trends, and consumer engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with skincare/scientific terminology is a plus.
  • Proficiency with content creation and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite).
