FP&A Analyst

Location: Atlanta, GA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

Vanguard is seeking a highly motivated FP&A Analyst to support senior leadership through strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role is instrumental in shaping key business decisions and will involve building and maintaining financial models, preparing executive-level reports, and supporting corporate initiatives such as capital planning and M&A analysis.

This is a highly visible role with frequent interaction with senior management and key internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, is solutions-oriented, and demonstrates strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Analyze key financial and operational metrics to assess business performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Create and maintain financial models and forecasts for long-range planning and scenario analysis
  • Collaborate with department leaders to build annual budgets and consolidate into company-wide financial plans
  • Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts, and provide actionable insights
  • Support strategic initiatives, including capital investment evaluations and expansion opportunities
  • Assist with M&A activities and valuation analyses as needed
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and serve as a trusted financial advisor to stakeholders across the organization

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related corporate finance roles
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced modeling skills), PowerPoint, and SQL
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with confidence presenting to senior leaders
