Financial Reporting Analyst

Location: McLean or Richmond, VA (hybrid)

The financial reporting ecosystem is undergoing significant changes with a focus on transforming the reporting structure by integrating newly acquired financial data.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive financial reporting in Excel and Google Sheets, including balance sheets, P&L statements, revenue, expenses, net income, and other key financial metrics.
• Remediate and improve the existing financial reporting structure to align with the organization’s evolving needs following the merger.
• Develop financial reporting tools to support senior management reviews and decision-making processes.
• Effectively manage deliverables and reporting tasks under tight deadlines while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and drive process improvements to increase reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting, with 3+ years preferred.
• Proven experience in a financial services company, ideally a Fortune 100/500 organization.
• Proficiency in Hyperion Essbase (required)
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets expertise, including the ability to build complex models and reports.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and deliver meaningful insights.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of financial reporting experience.
• Prior experience working in the financial services industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior leadership.
