General Purpose:

The Business Development & Marketing Intern will play a key role in assisting the team with a variety of tasks aimed at promoting our brand, acquiring new clients, and supporting strategic business growth initiatives. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in both business development and marketing within a fast-paced and growing organization. You will have the chance to learn from and contribute to the Agency’s success.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Passionate about writing and skilled at crafting compelling content for a variety of audiences and platforms.

  • Proficient in conducting market research, analyzing competitor trends, and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Familiar with digital marketing platforms, tools, and techniques, including social media management (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.), email marketing (Mailchimp, etc.), and web analytics (Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Organized and capable of supporting business development projects such as outreach campaigns, proposal development, and marketing collateral.
  • Familiar with CRM tools (like monday.com) to track prospects, follow-ups, and opportunities.
  • A go-getter who is eager to take initiative, step up to new challenges, and contribute ideas without needing constant direction.
  • Not easily discouraged and willing to put in the effort to learn or find the right answer.
  • Not afraid to ask questions and clarify expectations when needed.
  • Collaborative and comfortable working across teams or departments to push projects forward.

You have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive messages for different audiences, both in writing (e.g., emails, proposals, social media content) and in person (e.g., presentations, client interactions).
  • Basic understanding of SEO and content marketing strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and external partners.
  • The ability to synthesize data and make informed recommendations for business development and marketing strategies.

  • An eye for detail when it comes to marketing materials, client communications, and social media posts.

  • Experience with client/prospect outreach, research and sales.
  • An interest in business development, sales, and how marketing drives client acquisition and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and potential business opportunities.
  • Assist in the analysis of customer data to identify new leads and growth areas.
  • Help with the creation and execution of marketing campaigns (email, social media, content creation, etc.).
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, and online content.
  • Monitor social media channels and engagement, assisting with content posting and scheduling.
  • Support outreach efforts to potential clients, partners, and collaborators.
  • Assist in the development of proposals and pitch decks.
  • Track and follow up with leads to ensure timely communication and conversion.
  • Coordinate logistics and assist in event promotion through various marketing channels.
  • Provide administrative support to the Business Development and Marketing teams as needed.
  • Help track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to marketing and business development efforts.

Education and Experience:

  • Currently a Junior or Senior, or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Comfortable using collaboration tools like Google Docs, Slack, and Asana.
  • Previous internship or work experience in business development, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Bonus: Experience writing blog posts, outreach emails, or proposal content.
