About the Company
Our client is a fast-moving startup building tools that help organizations manage complex assets and enterprise environments. Their platform is used by customers who depend on high-performance, reliable infrastructure to support critical operations.

They are currently seeking 1-2 backend-focused software engineers to join their core engineering team. This is an opportunity to work closely with a highly technical founding team, take ownership of critical systems, and ship meaningful products in a high-autonomy environment.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services. They will help develop performant APIs, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure systems are secure, maintainable, and user-centric.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain reliable backend services and APIs for web-based applications

  • Architect systems that can handle high loads and production-level demands

  • Take full ownership of features from concept to deployment

  • Participate in code reviews, architectural planning, and security assessments

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and end-users to deliver practical, effective solutions

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development

  • Background in high-performance environments (e.g., VC-backed startups or companies with a high technical bar)

  • Prior experience in small, agile teams-ideally in early-stage or founding roles

  • Demonstrated ability to ship impactful products or personal projects

Technical Qualifications

  • Computer Science degree from a top-tier institution

  • Proficiency in statically typed languages (e.g., Golang, C, or C++)

  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)

  • Familiarity with AI/ML systems, including semantic search, LLMs, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)

  • Infrastructure experience is a plus
