Job Description:
- This role is the primary point of contact responsible for the holistic end-to-end management of assigned suppliers in the EA MMA organization.
- The Supply Specialist will drive supplier performance (specific to inventory, quality, and delivery targets), build collaborative supplier relationships, and support factory needs.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for end-to-end surveillance, monitoring, managing and development of effective supplier relationships to achieve business requirements.
- Daily/weekly supplier management and conversion of demand signals into Compliant Purchase Orders, in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and in alignment with Client systems and processes.
- Responsible for developing and managing effective supplier relationships to achieve the business requirements.
- Provides effective purchase order management to ensure current and verified delivery information is reflected using standard systems and processes
- Builds an effective cadence with assigned suppliers to support needed expedites and reschedules, when necessary, expedites supplier deliveries to achieve site operational requirements.
- Evaluation of supplier performance including the identification and mitigation of risks
- Drives root cause investigations and corrective actions to achieve continuous supplier improvement
- Operate with urgency and be proactive when it comes to operational issues and ensure continuity of supply from assigned suppliers
- Ensures the effective and timely closure of root cause and corrective actions.
- Leads problem solving activities to resolve issue affecting supplier relationships and supply chain performance.
- Support and potentially lead supplier performance recovery & improvement activities.
- Provides support for supplier selection and supplier development
- Identification and pursuit of quality, cost, delivery, and lead time improvements.
Requirements:
- Requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand and lead complex supply chain requirements.
- Required to effectively communicate both internally and externally with customers and suppliers
- Occasional travel may be required to visit Client sites or Suppliers. Approximately 15%.
- Up to 5 years of progressive experience (usually post education) in the field of manufacturing or engineering (preferably Aerospace).
- Good communication/organizational skills and be able to demonstrate an ability to understand complex regulations/procedures.
- Ability to deal with a variety of tasks at any one time and understand the priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to relocate to the Western New York Area, on-site role however flexible/hybrid schedule may be considered.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certification in Purchasing, Supply Chain or Program Management.
- APICS or other industry standard certifications are a plus
- An engineering or technical background is preferable.
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree level education, preferred in the fields of engineering, supply chain, or Business.
